When you write your username and password which you had previously mentioned during the installation step, a new screen will pop up which is called WordPress Dashboard. WordPress Dashboard is a new window screen which will give the overview of the website. What your website will look alike and what is going to happen with your website. Some people keenly called this an admin area. It is a dark gray area which is displayed across the page. One can easily customize the tags according to the requirement of the website, for instance, a quick reply to a comment or writing a fast draft.

WordPress Dashboard Menu:
The WordPress Dashboard menu carries several navigation menus, for example this page serves different headings, for example, plugins, users, posts, media, library, tools appearance and settings on the left hand side.
WordPress Dashboard Screen Options
The dashboard has various types of tools which can be hidden or shown according to the section settings. It permits us to customize each section in order to use the website according to our needs or requirements. We just need to tick the check box of the screen for different section options.
Customizing the WordPress Dashboard Welcome Option:
Welcome option has a customized theme of your page. You can adjust or customize your site accordingly. The last column has different captions, e.g first step with wordpress, widgets, menus and setting referring comments. However, in the middle column, you can see the buttons to view your page site, create a blog post and page.
Quick draft:
A quick draft is just like a small post editor. Admin can manually create, edit, save or publish posts from the user or admin Dashboard. It has captions for draft, various notes on draft and stores it as a draft.
WordPress news:
WordPress News tool or button depicts various latest news about software updates, versions, news, alerts etc from the official wordpress blog.
Activity:
The activity tool or widget views different comments on your latest or previous blog or published posts. It permits you to see, approve, disapprove, edit, reply or delete the comment over your published posts or blogs.
At a Glance:
This widget on wordpress shows the number of posts published, comments and pages. It shows the overview of your page including the running theme or current version of wordpress you are using. When you click on different widget or buttons, you will automatically lead toward the intended section.
